Ethiopia, located in the Horn of Africa, has a population of over 120 million people, making it one of the most populous countries in Africa. Its people are called Ethiopians. Known for its ancient history, Ethiopia is the only African country that was never colonized and is home to one of the oldest Christian nations in the world. The country has over 80 ethnic groups and languages, with Amharic as the official language. Ethiopian culture values family, hospitality, and deep religious traditions, including Orthodox Christianity and Islam. Traditional music, dance, and coffee ceremonies are central to daily life. Ethiopia is also famous for its highlands, historic sites like Lalibela’s rock-hewn churches, and being the birthplace of coffee.
